SLEEP CHALLENGES: Catherine, Fayssal & 5 1/2 month old Ayah, Dr Pamela Douglas Masterclass online, 11 September 2024
Note from parents prior to consultation:
Our baby Ayah is 5.5 months at the time of your workshop, though her developmental milestones align more with her due date (March 15 - she was 2 weeks over), which will make her closer to 6 months.
She’s always been a frequent waker, but was consistent in her wakes (every 2-3 hours). A couple of weeks before she turned 4 months it all fell apart and since then she wakes every 45mins-1 hr. We now cosleep, but that doesn’t reduce her wakes, just improves my mental stamina. During the day she contact naps. She definitely has a desire for sleep, just struggles with it. My doctor follows all your ethos, but unfortunately as two freelancing parents, sleep consults have been cost prohibitive to us. I also feel like our broader support system is becoming smaller because everyone insists on sleep training as a solution - particularly after we had a serious car accident resulting from sleep deprivation. Writing all this sounds grim!! But we have a delightful baby girl. And would be very willing to volunteer for your masterclass.
